TYPES OF DIGITAL CAMERAS

Even in the relatively short time that digital cameras have been made, manufacturers have managed to produce a camera for just about every level of expertise and need. Below are some examples in various categories. But new cameras are being produced all the time. Consult Steve's Digicams for information and reviews of the latest cameras.

Digital cameras are actually mini computers, complete with navigation buttons (Arrow Pad) and a mini monitor (LCD).

There are five types to consider:

Smartphone Cameras

Smartphone cameras now have 16 to 20 megapixels and high picture quality.

Compact Cameras

Superzoom Cameras (zoom lens not removable)

Superzoom cameras have incredibly long telephoto lenses---some up to 1200mm.

Digital Single Lens Reflex Cameras (DSLRs)
